General Foodify FAQ
Foodify is a social-selling distribution system for food businesses. It connects food merchants with resellers who can sell their food products through Facebook, TikTok, Messenger, Viber, communities, friends, family, offices, and other networks. Simple explanation: People sell. Merchants fulfill. Foodify connects.
No. Foodify is not a food delivery app. It is a sales and distribution system.
Its primary value is helping food businesses gain additional sales channels through resellers, rather than focusing only on delivery.
With food delivery apps, customers usually search for food and place orders directly through the app.
With Foodify, resellers promote and sell food products to their own audiences and communities. Instead of relying only on app traffic, advertisements, or walk-in customers, merchants gain an additional sales channel through people-powered selling.
No. Foodify is not an MLM or networking business.
There are no downlines, and there is no income from recruitment. Resellers earn by selling actual food products and adding their own profit margin, not by recruiting other people.
Foodify has two main audiences: merchants and resellers.
Merchants may include:
- Restaurants
- Cafés
- Bakeries
- Frozen food suppliers
- Cloud kitchens
- Home-based food businesses
- Food brands
- Food suppliers
Resellers may include:
- Employees
- Students
- Parents
- OFWs
- Freelancers
- Online sellers
- Side hustlers
- Anyone with a personal network
No. Foodify does not guarantee any specific level of sales or income.
Foodify provides the system, reseller-powered distribution, and a prepaid order process. Actual sales will depend on the product, pricing, customer demand, delivery setup, reseller activity, and selling effort.
Foodify earns through successful transactions.
Based on the updated fee structure:
- An 8% fee based on the merchant’s cost of goods
- A 5% commission on the reseller side
Merchant FAQ
Foodify helps your food business reach more customers without relying only on walk-in customers, paid advertisements, or opening additional branches.
Instead of your business handling all the posting and selling, resellers can promote your food products to their own networks and communities.
No. Foodify provides a system where approved resellers can discover and sell your products.
As a merchant, your role is to list your products, set your costs, establish your fulfillment rules and cut-off schedules, and fulfill confirmed orders.
The merchant:
- Registers with Foodify.
- Submits the required business information and documents.
- Uploads the products or menu.
- Sets the product costs and fulfillment rules.
- Makes the products available to approved resellers through Foodify.
Resellers then promote and sell the products. Customers pay for their orders, the orders are submitted through Foodify, and the merchant prepares and fulfills the confirmed orders.
The merchant prepares the food.
Foodify does not cook or prepare any food products. The merchant is responsible for food quality, preparation, packaging, and fulfillment.
Delivery is part of the fulfillment process, but Foodify is not a logistics company.
Depending on the merchant’s setup, the merchant or an assigned party may book the delivery through Lalamove or another courier or logistics partner.
Merchants may establish their own fulfillment rules, cut-off schedules, and delivery arrangements.
Yes. Merchants can establish their own cut-off schedules and fulfillment rules.
These rules should be clearly communicated so resellers know the deadline for accepting and submitting orders.
Foodify uses a prepaid wallet system.
The customer pays the reseller first. The reseller then tops up the Foodify wallet, and the order is processed only after the payment has been confirmed.
This means merchants only prepare confirmed and paid orders.
No. Foodify does not encourage Cash on Delivery.
Orders should be secured and fully paid before the merchant begins preparing the food.
Foodify earns through successfully fulfilled orders. For merchants, there is an 8% fee based on the cost of goods. This keeps the business model aligned because Foodify only earns when successful orders are completed.
Yes. The merchant-side fee is 8% of the cost of goods.
Payouts are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday, subject to completed and successfully fulfilled transactions.
Merchants are generally required to submit valid business registration documents, which may include:
- DTI registration
- Mayor’s Permit
- BIR registration
- Other applicable business documents
Merchants should also be capable of managing orders through the Foodify merchant dashboard and fulfilling orders properly.
Yes. Home-based food businesses may join Foodify as long as they can provide the required documents, fulfill orders properly, and complete the onboarding process.
The merchant onboarding process includes:
- Submitting the merchant interest form
- Submitting the required documents
- Attending the merchant webinar or orientation
- Account review and approval
- Account activation
- Product and menu setup
Once the setup is complete, approved resellers can begin viewing and selling the merchant’s products.
Reseller FAQ
Resellers earn by adding their own profit margin on top of the supplier’s food cost.
Example:
- Food cost: ₱100
- Reseller’s selling price: ₱150
- Gross margin: ₱50
The gross margin is subject to any applicable commission or fees.
As a reseller, you earn through your own markup or profit margin. A 5% commission applies, but your primary earnings come from the margin you set when selling the product.
No. The merchant prepares the food.
Your role as a reseller is to promote the products, find customers, collect payments, and submit confirmed orders through Foodify.
No. You can sell food products without owning inventory, a kitchen, or a restaurant.
You can choose from the available food products offered by Foodify merchants and sell them to your own network.
You may sell through:
- TikTok
- Messenger
- Viber
- Friends and family
- Offices
- Schools
- Church groups
- Village groups
- Condominium groups
- Local communities
No. You do not need a large number of followers.
Your existing personal network is enough to get started. What matters more is your ability to post, communicate with potential customers, follow up, and offer products to the people around you.
The Foodify model is designed so the customer pays the reseller first.
The reseller then tops up the Foodify wallet to cover the supplier’s food cost and place the order. This helps resellers avoid paying for orders using their own money.
The process is as follows:
- The customer pays the reseller.
- The reseller tops up the Foodify wallet with the supplier’s food cost.
- Once the payment is confirmed, the order is processed.
- The merchant prepares and fulfills the food order.
Cash on Delivery is not recommended.
Foodify follows a prepaid model to protect both the merchant and the reseller.
The safer process is: collect the customer’s payment first, then submit the order.
Delivery will depend on the merchant’s fulfillment rules.
The merchant or an assigned party may book the delivery. The delivery fee may be paid by the customer or included in the product price, depending on the agreed setup.
Yes. Resellers should complete the required orientation or training.
The training will help them understand how to:
- Choose products
- Promote and sell products
- Collect customer payments
- Use the Foodify wallet
- Submit confirmed orders
This information should still be confirmed with the team.
Ideally, Foodify may provide content support or selling materials to make it easier for resellers to promote the available products.
Reseller subscription details are still being finalized. Once confirmed, our team will share the official onboarding offer, pricing, and inclusions.
